Asexual History Resource Hub

At just over 20 years old, Ace communities have a wealth of history that is only just now starting to be properly investigated and recorded. This page is a dedicated resource that compiles noteworthy links for the study of ace history. This includes known ace histories, suggestions on how to do ace history research, and more.

For those new to ace history and looking to start with a basic introduction to the development of early ace communities, I recommend the following three resources as an initial introduction:

For those who are already familiar with the basics and looking for further reading – or for those interested in more specific events or in conversations about the process of making ace history itself – I have put together some additional subcollections of resources that may be of interest

If you know of anything not on this list and would like to make a recommendation I’d love to hear about it! You can drop me a line at sennkestra@gmail.com

In addition, if you are interested in investigating a period of history that is not yet covered here, I’m also happy to respond to questions and help make suggestions on avenues for further research.

I also want to give a shoutout to the Asexual History Interest Group mailing list – it’s not active right now, but it has a lot of members who are interested in learning more about history efforts, so it can be a great place to share your own work to get their word out (or to call for volunteers)
