The following is a list of relatively current networking groups and resources for both local and online ace community organizers. If you currently run an ace meetup group, discord server, or facebook community (or if you want to start one), these are for you.
Active Resources
Ace Organizers Google Group and Email List. This is a google group and mailing list for organizers of local, offline ace communities to network with each other and discuss resources, opportunities, advice, and more. To join, click this link to view the group page, then click the “asking to join the group” link and fill out the short application.
Note: google groups require a google account to join. To create a new google account from an existing non-google email address, follow the instructions here under the “use an existing email address” section.
Ace + Aro Organizers Signal Group. This is a private signal chat group, set up as a companion chat for the Ace Organizers email list. To apply to join, click the link here.
International Asexuality Day Discord Server. Originally created to coordinate plans for International Asexuality Day, it’s also evolved to have several general networking channels for international ace activists as well. To join, please contact international.asexuality.day@gmail.com to request an invite.
AVEN “Visibility and Education Projects” Subforum. This subsection of the AVEN forum can be used for discussing asexuality related activism and community organizing projects. Requires an AVEN forum account to post.
Ace and Aro Community Organizers Facebook Group. This is a private facebook group for Ace and Aro Organizers, originally founded by Aces and Aros. (Caveat: some organizers are moving away from this group in reaction to Meta’s current political stances, but the group remains semi-active for now).
Inactive/Archived Resources
The following resources are no longer maintained and in some cases are only available through web archives, but may still have content that could be useful.
Asexual Groups WordPress. This index has not been maintained for many years, but it does have an older list of some regional community ace groups and their pages.
Aces and Aros. This group was once a central hub for ace and aro organizing that included an interactive group map, educational articles and resource, and guides for organizers. Unfortunately, the organizers are all currently on hiatus and the original website url was claimed by spammers after payments lapsed. You can view an archived version of the website here via archive.org’s wayback machine.
